Lt. E.F. Stone & Lt. Com. R.A. Lavender, 1919. Shows Coast Guard aviator Elmer "Archie" Fowler Stone (1887-1936), who was a pilot on the NC-1 flying boat and Robert Alfred Lavender (1889-1976), a US Navy radio officer for the NC-3 flying boat. Both men participated in the May 1919 flying boat transatlantic flight attempt.
