The King reviewing the West Lancashire Territorial Division: the march past, 1909. 'The King, who was accompanied by the Queen, reviewed the West Lancashire Territorial division in Knowsley Park on Monday last. Sixteen thou sand men were on parade. The colours that were to be presented were consecrated, were drooped before the King, who touched them, and were then given to the officers appointed to receive them. They were then saluted; and the much past took place'. From "Illustrated London News", 1909.
