Supported By Voluntary Contributions: The London and South Western Railway Servants' Orphanage at Woking, 1909. 'This orphanage has been founded for the purpose of housing, feeding, clothing, and educating the fatherless children of those who, at the time of their death, were in the employment of the London and South Western Railway Company, irrespective of their grade or position. The land was bought with a legacy left by the late Mr. T. P. Harvey, of Clapham. At the opening ceremony recently the founder, Canon Allen Edwards, presided. The architect was Mr. W. E. Trevenna'.
