Edward Burne-Jones at work on the Star of Bethlehem, 1890. Image taken while the artist was at work on the watercolour, Star of Bethlehem, at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. The painting depicts the Adoration of the Magi with an angel holding the star of Bethlehem. It was commissioned by the Corporation of the City of Birmingham for its new Museum and Art Gallery in 1887.
