A View of Paris from the Pont Neuf, 1763. Additional Info: Horse-drawn carriages and strolling couples make their way across the Pont Neuf, one of the oldest bridges in Paris. Boats are tied up on both sides of the Seine River, a heavily traveled thoroughfare. In the center, behind an iron fence, stands an equestrian statue of Henri IV. On the right bank of the river is the Louvre, the national museum and art gallery of France. The dome of the Hôtel des Invalides can be seen on the left bank in the distance.
