Basket Amphoriskos, 1st century A.D. Additional Info: Mold-blown basket amphoriskos of naturally colored translucent glass blown into a two-part mold of two vertical sections. The teardrop-shaped body with a flattened base is decorated with basket patterns and an ivy wreath. The neck and rim were free blown. The flaring neck ends with a lip folded inwards. Two thin "floating" handles have been applied below the rim and drawn to the base of the neck.
