Mosaic Bowl, end of 1st century B.C.-1st century A.D. Additional Info: Mosaic cast glass bowl comprised of polygonal sections of two canes, one in dark violet ground with fine yellow and blue rods in a six petal flower motif surrounded by white, and the other a dark violet ground with opaque white center surrounded by ten smaller white circles. A green molten glass has been added to the rim, seemingly after slumping, and may be an instance of an ancient repair of a gap. The bowl has a flared lip and a ring base attached from a length of the same cane used to create one of the radial disks.
