Bird- shaped Flask, 1st-2nd century A.D. Additional Info: A free-blown flask of translucent blue glass in the shape of a bird. The body and tail are formed in a flattened teardrop shape with a long neck terminating in an open mouth with a rim folded over the inside edge. There is also a small dimple in the tail. The vessel has been reconstructed from fragments. Some weathering causes iridescence and there is incrustation around the outside of the mouth.
