Waterfall in Tichborne Park, Alresford, Hants., 1871. The case of the Tichborne Claimant was a notorious 19th-century trial in which an English imposter, Arthur Orton, then living in Australia, claimed to be missing Tichborne family member Sir Roger Tichborne. The Tichborne family has held the manor of Tichborne since the 12th century. From "Illustrated London News", 1871.
