Herakles grasps the fleeing Centaur, and wields his club in his right hand. The upper part of a large pithos is depicted above the ground line on the right. A rock lies between Herakles' legs. Pholos wears an animal skin and holds a branch. B: Two centaurs, perhaps the companions of Pholos, holding branches, open-mouthed. The centaur on the left carries an animal skin. Palmette and lotus pattern on the neck; below the ground-line, five black horizontal bands, and rays above the foot. Attributed to Group of Würzburg 221.
