Head of a Woman, about 320 BC. Additional Info: The head of a woman, broken at shoulder height, rests on a long, slender neck and turns slightly to the left. Her hair is arranged in a "melon-coiffure"; the hair is plaited into rows that are gathered high and braided in a thick circle around the top of her head. In the center of this circle her wavy hair rests flat against the skull. Her face is oval and subtly modeled, with neat, compact features. Her almond-shaped eyes look towards the left. There are two Venus rings indicated on her neck. The ears are drilled with holes for earrings. Her nose, mouth, and chin have some losses.
