Execution of members of Amboise conspiracy, 1560, late 16th-early 17th century. Abortive Huguenot conspiracy against the Catholic House of Guise, 25 March 1560. Gruesome scene with hangings, beheadings, bloody severed heads and piles of corpses at Amboise in France. Jean du Barry de la Renaudie was killed during a previous battle and his body was still exposed to the crowd, hanging from a gallows, during the execution of the conspirators at Amboise.
