Mr. Sheriff Johnson, 1873. Engraving of a photograph by Messrs. Elliott and Fry. 'Mr. Sheriff Johnson is a son of the late Mr. John Johnson and was born at Knightsbridge, in 1827. He received his education in England and Germany. He married, about five years ago, the daughter of Mr. Foster, shipowner, of Scarborough. Mr. Johnson is the sole representative of the old-established house of Messrs. John Johnson and Son, of the Corn Exchange. His residence is St. Osyth Priory, Essex; and his town residence, 76, Portland-place'. From "Illustrated London News", 1873.
