Sketches at the Vienna Exhibition, 1873. 'Watchmakers and watch-stealers. One of our Artists at Vienna, having an eye for the queer and comical aspects of social life, has sketched a few groups of figures representing the odd looks and ways of different classes of visitors to the Exhibition. The display of clocks and watches has engaged the attention of two visitors, one of them, perhaps, a journeyman watchmaker, to such a degree that it is easy for his neighbour the pickpocket to carry off a trophy of skill in the craft of chevalier d'industrie'.
